Spilled Apples 8" x 10" oil $95.00

I haven't exactly been up to date on this painting a day stuff, but at least it's something to shoot for. Here is a study I did at our last painting class. Apples pouring out of a bowl onto a green cloth. Here it is again: contrasting colors. I love the zingyness.
Something that is becoming so important to me in these quick studies is the way they are taking so much of the fear out of putting a loaded brush on the canvas. If I keep at it, I'll keep at it. That's the idea anyway.

Onion and Vase, 8" x 6" oil on canvas, available

Second painting! I love the way the colors work with each other in this one. I set up this still life in my painting class.

TREES, 7" x 7", oil on masonite, available

Well here we go. My first "painting a day" painting. It may take me a while to get used to this, but I want to give it a whirl.
'Tis the season for Christmas trees, why not paint some. I loved the way the lights hovered over the trees in the lot. Misty air, surreal. A friend said it made her feel like she was standing there smelling the pine.
